This kitchen fits perfectly into the heart of the city where it is set. Creating an original environment with clean lines it comprises a modern treatment of some more conventional materials such as wood and glass. This accentuates the more contemporary materials like the stainless steel found on the appliances and the concrete faux finish found on certain counter-tops. The glass, which has been modified through a process of thermo fusion, adds an interesting esthetic feel to the backsplash and central island as well. To ensure a fluid and functional work area, this island, mounted by a stainless steel hood, includes a hot plate thus creating a lovely space for preparation and offering comfortable seating space in the kitchen. Finally, the cabinets are closed to the ceiling with straight-lined doors, which amplify the illusion of height and maximize storage space. Through a blend of different materials and textures, this kitchen emanates simplicity and refinement. Decor: Owners Conception, fabrication and installation: Kyra inc.
